3. Diversity, Equality and Inclusion Policy

South Gower RFC fully endorses the WRU position on Inclusion, Diversion and Equality, and how members of the club:

  • should have a genuine and equal opportunity to participate to the full extent of their own ambitions and abilities, without regard to their age, sex, gender identity, disability, marital or civil partnership status, pregnancy or maternity, religion, race, ethnic origin, socioeconomic status or sexual orientation; and
  • can be assured of an environment in which their rights, dignity and individual worth are respected, and in particular, that they are able to enjoy their sport without the threat of intimidation, victimisation, harassment or abuse

South Gower RFC is committed to ensuring that every person has the right to enjoy his or her sport in an environment that is free from intimidation, discrimination, harassment or abuse.

All Club Members have a responsibility to oppose discriminatory behaviour and promote equality of opportunity.

The Club will view any transgression of this policy in a very serious light and will deal with incidents of unacceptable behaviour in terms of the Club`s disciplinary procedures or other relevant provisions/processes.
