At South Gower RFC, the safety and well-being of children and young people participating in our rugby community are our foremost concerns. We believe all children and young people have the right to participate in their chosen sport in a safe and positive environment.
We aim to provide a secure environment where children can enjoy the sport safely. We adhere strictly to safeguarding guidelines, ensuring all coaches, volunteers, and staff undergo thorough background checks and training.
Our commitment extends beyond the pitch, encompassing proactive measures to prevent any form of abuse or harm. Together, we foster a culture of respect, inclusivity, and support for every young player, prioritising their physical, emotional, and social development.
We operate the WRU Safeguarding Policy and have a designated Child Safeguarding Officer.
All coaches and helpers are DBS-checked and registered with the WRU.
