2. Membership (Players)


Only players who have paid their membership are eligible to play at South Gower RFC.

As well as becoming a member of the club new players must also register with the WRU. This is to ensure players are insured and ONLY registered WRU members play fixtures for the correct club and age group.

Before you become a member please contact the Membership Secretary to check if there is space in your chosen squad as squad sizes are limited by the WRU to prevent super clubs forming at the detriment to neighbouring clubs.

MINIS, JUNIORS AND YOUTH

Minis, Juniors and Youth players must take Family Membership. Family Membership is £180 per year taken as a direct debit of £15 per month and covers the same family household i.e. Mini / Junior / Youth players, their parents, and their siblings. Coaches and senior players with children playing at the club will automatically be covered by the Family membership.

Membership covers:

  • annual insurance provided by the WRU
  • playing kit
  • training equipment
  • pitch usage for match days / training (including floodlights) and maintenance
  • food after home games
  • access to qualified coaches, first aiders and referees

SENIORS

Senior membership is £50 per year and covers first-team players. The annual cost is taken as a one-off direct debit of £50 per season or taken as a direct debit of £4 per month. (n.b. Senior players who have children playing in the Minis / Juniors will automatically be included in the Family Membership).

Membership covers:

  • annual insurance provided by the WRU
  • playing kit
  • training equipment
  • pitch usage for match days / training (including floodlights) and maintenance
  • food after home games
  • access to qualified coaches, first aiders and referees
  • coaching and CPD opportunities
  • access to Physiotherapy
  • transport to designated away games
