As our season ends with another promotion it's with mixed emotions that we say goodbye and thank you to our first team head coach Josh Humphreys who, after 6 seasons at the coaching helm (plus a few more as a player), has decided to call it a day and move onto pastures new. And after 9 seasons as forwards coach Nathan Davies is relinquishing his coaching duties but staying on as a player as we head into Division 2.
Since taking over the coaching reigns together in 2019/20 Josh and Nathan have continually developed and nurtured the team inspiring excellence throughout, both on and off the pitch, taking the Seniors from Division 5 to Division 2 with three promotions in as many seasons.
We'd like to say a big thank you to Josh and Nathan for all their efforts as both coaches and players. The success of our Seniors is a true reflection of their commitment and hard work.
Josh leaves South Gower RFC in a great place, the best it's ever been on the field, and as a club we wish him the very best of luck for his future. We hope to see you down the club at some point where you're always welcome as once a Seahorse, always a Seahorse!!!
Thank you both and good luck Josh!
We now start the process of looking for a new head coach before the 2025/26 season begins.
